Inflame gig Armagh Marketplace theatre

The morning after the night before!

We supported Inflame last night as they launched their CD in the Marketplace theatre in Armagh and had a great time.

It was probably the biggest gig we've played and certainly the most professional set up. Usually we play on creaking plywood timbers with no sound guy but last night we had a dressing room and a sound check. The dressing room even had a shower (although none of us tried it out, we are men, we shower in a bottle!) and a row of lights around the mirror. To avoid Spinal Tap type moments there were arrows on the floor pointing to the stage which was good because I'm geographically inept at the best of times!

We had a half hour set in which we squeezed ten songs mostly played at break neck speeds with a lot of sweat, smiling and bouncing around. We had a great time and there were no major hiccups apart from the very start when I started our set in the wrong key which i didn't notice until the chorus and had to stop and start again, red face for me. Still it's better to start like that as you can only get better!

overall i think people enjoyed the songs and there was plenty of clapping and even some fine vocal performances from the audience.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us and to Inflame for inviting us to play.
